Neurologist and Neurophysiologist


I am a Specialist Neurologist, Clinical Neurophysiologist and Neuromuscular Specialist with 19 years of clinical experience in Neurology.

After finishing my MBBS degree with first class, I completed my Internal Medicine residency (MD in Internal Medicine) followed by specialist training in Neurology (DM in Neurology) from Christian Medical College, Vellore, a prestigious quaternary level academic and research center of excellence and medical school in India.

Following my dual doctorate degrees, I worked as Assistant Prof. of Neurology at the institution before been accepted for a fully funded Neuromuscular Disorders / Neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Calgary, Canada with a world-renowned neuromuscular research group.

My other qualifications include the Specialty Certificate in Neurology (Royal College of Physicians, UK), Diplomate of the European Board of Neurology and current certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM).

In 2012, I obtained Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Neurology and previously held positions of Staff Specialist Neurologist at Launceston General Hospital, TAS Australia, Clinical Lead in Neurophysiology and Staff Neurologist with Eastern Health, Melbourne and Northern Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.

I relocated to Hamilton in 2021 to take up a Staff Neurologist position with Waikato Hospital.

I have extensive experience in the management of all general neurological disorders including Movement Disorders, Neuro-immunological Disorders, Demyelinating Disorders, Headaches, Epilepsy and Cerebrovascular Diseases.

My sub-specialty interest is in neuromuscular disorders and neuro-electrophysiology, management of complex neuromuscular diseases, diagnosis of Neuropathies, Myasthenic disorders and Muscular Dystrophies, performing and interpreting Nerve Conductions Studies, Electromyograms, Repetitive Nerve Stimulations studies and Single-Fiber EMGs.

In addition to this, I also perform BOTOX injections and occipital nerve blocks.
