Dr Paras Garg

I am a New Zealand–trained gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a broad range of experience in digestive and liver health. I completed my medical degree (MBBS) in India before moving to New Zealand, where I undertook basic and advanced physician training in Auckland. My specialist training in gastroenterology included positions across Wellington, Waikato, and Auckland, followed by a fellowship in Australia.

I have a particular interest in liver diseases as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. I am committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate care and supporting patients to confidently understand and manage their gastrointestinal health.

In addition to English, I am fluent in Hindi and Punjabi, which allows me to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
