Sam Holford

Sam Holford is a New Zealand–trained Gynaecologist with specialised expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis management, and complex gynaecological conditions. Post-specialisation Dr Holford completed the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery (AGES) Advanced Training Program in advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopic surgery, and minimally invasive approaches to benign and complex disease, including endometriosis, fibroids, adnexal pathology, abnormal bleeding, and early gynaecological cancers.

Sam is known for his compassionate, thoughtful approach and a strong focus on precision, safety, and achieving the best possible outcomes. He takes time to understand each person’s goals and tailors treatment accordingly, combining meticulous surgical technique with clear, supportive communication. His patients also benefit from a multidisciplinary team approach, ensuring complex conditions are managed collaboratively with ultrasound, imaging, physiotherapy, and other specialists where needed — all with a shared commitment to excellence and evidence-based care.
